Lauren's parents are Donna Grant (a candy industry lobbyist) and Lawrence Graham. Lauren Graham is Irish, English and Scottish descent. Her mother comes from her native American South and her father from New York. Her parents were originally from Northern Virginia, USA. The family is Fairfax, Arlington, Great Falls, VA. She graduated from Southern Methodist University in acting with a Master's Degree. Her father was the sole parent. She was just 5 years old when her parents divorced. At the age of 5, she wanted to be a jockey but her height prevented it. She was a frequent traveler with her father throughout her early years and was introduced to acting during elementary school.
